This Code of Conduct establishes the standards of behaviour expected when participating in NAAN programs, events, online communities, and other activities.

This Code of Conduct applies to participation in:
- NAAN membership
- Conferences and expos
- Webinars
- Workshops
- Networking events
- Committee meetings
- Online communities
- Social media interactions associated with NAAN
- Volunteer activities
- Communications with members, staff, and partners
Professional Conduct
Members are expected to:
- Treat others with courtesy, professionalism, and respect.
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment.
- Communicate honestly and constructively.
- Respect differing viewpoints and experiences.
- Conduct business ethically and responsibly.
- Support collaboration within the admissions and education community.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Respectful Behaviour
NAAN does not tolerate:
- Harassment
- Bullying
- Intimidation
- Discrimination
- Hate speech
- Personal attacks
- Offensive language
- Threats or abusive conduct
- Retaliation against individuals who raise concerns
All participants deserve to engage in a safe and respectful environment.
Ethical Membership Practices
Members agree to:
- Provide accurate information during membership registration.
- Represent themselves and their organizations honestly.
- Protect confidential information received through NAAN activities.
- Respect intellectual property rights.
- Avoid conflicts of interest where possible.
- Act in good faith when participating in NAAN programs.
Member Directory
Access to the member directory is provided solely for legitimate professional networking.
Members may not:
- Harvest contact information.
- Build marketing databases.
- Send unsolicited commercial email campaigns.
- Sell or distribute member information.
- Use directory information for unauthorized purposes.
Events and Conferences
Participants are expected to:
- Respect presenters and attendees.
- Follow venue policies.
- Wear required credentials where applicable.
- Participate in a professional manner.
- Respect event staff and volunteers.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements.
Online Communities
When participating in NAAN online communities, members should:
- Contribute constructively.
- Respect differing opinions.
- Avoid inflammatory or offensive content.
- Share accurate information.
- Maintain professionalism in discussions.
Spam, promotional abuse, or disruptive behaviour may result in removal from community platforms.
Conflicts of Interest
Members should avoid situations where personal, financial, or professional interests improperly influence participation in NAAN activities.
Where a conflict exists, members are encouraged to disclose it and act transparently.
Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness behaviour inconsistent with this Code of Conduct, please notify NAAN promptly.
Reports may be submitted to:
info@naadmissionsnetwork.orgReports will be reviewed fairly, confidentially where appropriate, and in accordance with NAAN policies.
Enforcement
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in action deemed appropriate by NAAN, including:
- Informal discussion or warning
- Removal from an event or program
- Suspension of membership privileges
- Termination of membership
- Restriction from future participation
- Other actions considered appropriate based on the circumstances
NAAN reserves the right to determine the appropriate response to violations of this Code.
